  Culpepper and Terpening's corporate offices are located in Ft. Pierce and Stuart on Florida’s Treasure Coast, named so for the many sunken Spanish galleons located just off the shore. Situated along the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean, the Treasure Coast has grown to become one of Florida’s top travel and residential destinations. Neighboring Port St. Lucie earned the U.S. Census Bureau's "Fastest Growing City" title for 2003.

  Since 1972, firm principals have provided advancement and excellence in engineering services throughout Florida's Treasure Coast for both the public and private sectors. Founder and COO, J.P. "Butch" Terpening was born in Jacksonville, Florida. Forming Culpepper and Terpening with fellow University of Florida Gator colleague, Brett Culpepper, Butch has built the firm, raised a family and has come to hold seats on numerous advisory boards throughout the region.

  Under Terpening's leadership the firm has worked tirelessly to assure that the team adheres to the highest principles of design integrity in order to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public while giving consideration to the impact of growth on the environment and preserving the natural beauty that inspires all who live and visit this area.
